Call Day #73, 7/15/14

Claire has been wanting to wear "Kaya braids" since we started reading the American Girl series about Kaya, a Native American girl who is always shown with her hair in two braids.

When the girls were coloring this morning, Oliver wanted to color too. I gave him a few pens and a piece of paper and sat him in his high chair. When I looked over at him a few minutes later, he had completely taken apart the four-color pen he had and was somewhat trying to put pieces back together.

I loved how Claire improvised when she didn't have the right letter magnets to spell Oliver's name!

We went to a new-to-us park with friends this morning. Eleanor enjoyed rocking with Miles.

Then, we all came back to our place for lunch.

We spent the rest of the afternoon on nap time, reading, and curled up on the couch watching a movie through a strong thunderstorm. After dinner, Oliver tried to get the last drops out of his popsicle.
