Call Day #13, 9/3/13
Homeschooling began on Monday which means Eleanor is officially in kindergarten! She's been super excited for school to start. Here she is showing off handwriting done during a language lesson. Working on common and proper nouns and lowercase letters.
Oliver is scooting backwards only so ended up under the coffee table.
The girls pretended to drive somewhere while I put carseats in the van. We have an extra one this week while Corrin and Moses are visiting!
Playing "trotty-horse" in the driveway.
We played store and they wanted to buy a tablet. I told them it cost $250. They brought me 23 beads and said they were worth $10 each. Good negotiation (and math skills!) meant they could buy it for $230.
Eleanor teaches Claire how to weave on the loom.
Girls meet Moses for the first time! They were happy to have two babies in the house.
This little guy has been starting to get up on his knees a bit.
Enjoying two babies!
But listening to crying is not fun. (Oliver was FAR more likely to be the culprit than Moses.)
Eleanor photo of mommies and babies.
Picnic dinner at Duke Gardens.
Oliver was happy just playing with crocs.
Or playing with Moses.
These girls ran and ran back and forth from our picnic spot to the building beyond. When you count and see how fast they can do it, they will keep trying to beat their record.
Corrin carries Oliver, who didn't want to ride in the stroller.
The girls collect dirt to put in the fountain. No, I don't know why.
Oliver was ready to head home. Moses was content.
After we were home, we had visitors. The interim chair of pediatrics lives in our neighborhood and brought over decorated cookies with his kids. Eleanor and Claire loved playing with them. They all put on a play on the balcony overlooking the living room and wanted to keep playing though it was getting late. It was, as the cookie says, a nice "Welcome to Duke."
