Call Day #101, 1/1/15

Morning math. If standing on the chair makes Eleanor enjoy it more, fine by me.

After watching Claire enjoy (and learn from!) math games on Erik's phone, I thought she might be ready to start some more formal math instruction. This was our second day and each day she's asked for more after finishing what I thought was enough for one day. Eager student!

Everyone enjoyed a playdate and lunch with friends this morning.

Having had a late Christmas celebration with Mimi and Papa Jimmy last night, Eleanor was very eager to try out some new gifts. This mixer from Aunt Linda and Uncle Buck was a big hit. She assembled it mostly by herself and was able to make no-bake brownies.

Oliver working hard. He was quite enamored with the electric drill. There were several references to "Dada" while using it.

He was so taken with it that he wasn't interested in much else this afternoon.

Since Oliver was busy with his drill, Claire decided to try out his fireman dress-up outfit for him.
