Call Day #47, 3/4/14
What a full day! We started off by going to our first American Girl book club. Several families from church read a historical fiction book about one of the American Girls and get together to talk about it. One of the moms led a discussion about the book Meet Addy set in the slave-owning South around the beginning of the Civil War. Afterwards, there was a craft and we had a meal of Southern food.
The craft was of a toy children of the time might have had. While I think they're technically called "hobby horses," in our family they have always been called "trotty horses." Eleanor was happy to trot out to the van on our way home.
Showing off her horse.
The rest of the day was full of getting ready to go to Disney. They leave tomorrow! The girls love the princess dresses and shoes Daddy got them and had to show them off to Nanny, Papa, and Uncle Brian.
Who needs a trotty horse? Uncle Brian gives horse rides too!
