Call Day #151, 3/20/16

The kids sang in church today. I got to hear part of the song being practiced this morning. The rest included them lining up across the front of the church waving palm branches as the song continued.

We were sad to not have Nanny, Papa, or Daddy at lunch today, but eating at Cook Out still made them smile.

Not sure about this face. He wanted his picture taken, and here's the result.

Claire wanted to take one too. Apparently, this was our entertainment while waiting for our food.

This afternoon, I tried to start the cleaning part of getting the house ready to show. Even though all the kids had been watching a movie, Oliver wanted to come help me scrub dirty baseboards. He was a happy little helper.

When I heard noise from Oliver's room at 10pm tonight, I found him "looking at pictures" in his bed.

Had to check in on the others too. Asleep with her new stuffed dog and a Flat Stanley chapter book.

Sweetly hanging off the edge of the bed.

Call Day #150, 2/28/16

Eleanor finishes stitching a gift for a friend before church. She truly loves to make and give gifts!

A friend with a new baby is visiting us! Everyone is enthralled.

After church, we went had a picnic at the park. Oliver wasn't always happy. His pouty face is one I know well.

He was happy about his sandwich though--PB&J to which he added a slice of salami from Claire's sandwich. What a combination!

This dear friend of mine has loved my kids well through our days in St. Louis, living semi-close to one another in New England, and visits to see us in Durham. Oliver wanted her to push him on the swing, and there were lots of laughs from them both.

Baby holding continued. Everyone wanted to have a turn!

Probably the most Oliver's ever gotten to hold a baby before. He was wonderfully gentle.
