Call Day #135, 10/18/15

Oliver hasn't liked being left in his Sunday school class each week. We have a new technique we're trying out. I let the girls start playing with him, sneak out to take Claire to her class, and let Eleanor slip out and go to her own class a few minutes later. Has worked for a few weeks now.

This morning he was enjoying how the bright sunlight was shining on all the dust particles in the air.

We went straight from church to a birthday party.

Root beer in bottles was exciting.

Celebrating our friend.

The party was at the Museum of Life and Science. A new giant outdoor play area opened there recently, and it was our first time to see it. It's huge! Can you spot Eleanor?

On the bridge. She played a lot in the tree house.

Claire thought it was a bit scary so played down below with Oliver.

This boy loves a good creek.

Playing in the water and throwing things in.

Inside a log.

A smaller play area for smaller kids.

Giant house/sculpture made of twigs.

Posing.

She wanted to do this.

We went straight from the birthday party to the neighborhood's Fall Festival. Kids doing a cakewalk.

Oliver participated and got a cupcake.

Bowling with small pumpkins.

Taking his turn.

Bouncy house. Eleanor and Claire spent plenty of time with this, but Oliver is not interested.

We took a plate of food to Daddy. Girls lining up to talk to him.

And get tickled!

Call Day #134, 10/16/15

Eleanor was 7 and a half years old yesterday. She was excited to be measured and see how much she's grown since her birthday.

Nanny came over to take the girls for their French and Art lessons at her house. She brought warm challah bread. Oliver called it "hello bread." The girls each got something to show for the picture. Eleanor had practiced one of their art concepts and French on her paper. Claire made an envelope with a drawing for Nanny and Papa.

After the girls left, Oliver and I got ready for our errands. He wanted to wear these red socks "pulled all the way up like soccer socks."

He wanted to take his stroller to Walmart.

Checking out the underwear display. He is happily sitting on the potty these days. Still working on anything beyond sitting.

We went to a toy store to buy a present for an upcoming birthday party. Oliver played with trains.

After nap and an early dinner, we made a trip to the library. Claire sat down and started reading to Oliver before she had even finished finding books to check out. Eager to read!

A quick visit to get yogurt before shepherding group at church. Some sort of ice cream celebration is a half birthday tradition the kids look forward to.
