Call Day #127, 8/16/15

Oliver was super excited to eat the cereal Claire picked out at the grocery store yesterday. He wanted to eat it last night and settled for leaving it at his place at the table, ready for breakfast. He had it all to himself this morning because...

Eleanor and Claire spent the night at Nanny and Papa's house. They worked in Nanny's studio while Nanny and Papa got ready for church.

Eleanor has loved having Nanny teach Children's Church the past several weeks!

I'm not sure that anyone taught Oliver to hit a ball. I think this is just innate? He grabbed the bat and ball and had a grand time swinging at it.

Swing!

When Nanny and Papa arrived, Papa tossed him the ball a few times. He hit the ball each time.

 Drawing.

We went to try the popsicles at local store. Eleanor had to guard hers from Papa!

Lots of yummy flavors!

They had a kids table and books to read.

Call Day #126, 8/8/15

Eleanor has been enjoying the new (to us) computer Erik set up in the office. She's used it primarily for math fact practice. Then, yesterday Erik taught her a computer game. She did both today.

Poor Clairey. Told me early this morning that her tummy hurt all last night. Soon after, she threw up. We cancelled our plans for the day and decided to take it easy at home.

Claire picked a movie to watch and was glad to just lie on the couch.

Oliver has been really enjoying High Five magazine lately. He listens to the stories and really enjoys the hidden pictures.

Eleanor asked to do spelling even though it's Saturday and there was no school planned.

Showing off her current smile. Second top tooth lost last week.

Building a train that goes from the playroom to the bathroom. "If Claire doesn't feel good and is in the bathroom, we can deliver a grape to her!"

We went to Nanny and Papa's house for dinner tonight. Helping Nanny water the plants.

Continuing work on an in-progress perler bead project.

Playing with "my toys."

We took Erik some dinner. He's working his fourth night this week. Something other than the cafeteria food is appreciated. Plus, he got a visit from all of us!

All happy to see Daddy/Erik.

Looking like a pretty grown up boy. Knows he's now two and a half.

Ended the day with ice cream with Nanny and Papa.
