Call Day #22, 10/5/13

Breakfast time.  Oliver can pick up cheerios (sometimes) but doesn't know how to get them into his mouth.  Note cheerio stuck on his hand.

Eleanor shows off the buckets we prepared to "Boo" our neighbors.  There's a neighborhood tradition of receiving treats on your doorstep and then secretly passing it forward to two other neighbors.

Girls and Papa make dill bread.

Sing and swing.

School on Saturday.  Our Five in a Row book is a story about a boy who submits his first carving to the county fair.  We tried our hands at carving too, with soap.

Claire shows off her carving with her initials, CFM.

Call Day #21, 10/2/13

I spent the morning packing.  Eleanor, eager to go, spent a good portion of the morning in the backseat of the van, in her car seat playing.  Eventually, we got everything together and made it to Nanny and Papa's house.  Eleanor still needed to finish school for the day so she read to Nanny for a while.
I found this sign on my bed when I was unpacking the van.  Apparently, Claire had planned and talked about making it for most of the days that she was in Charlotte.  It says "Welcome Home, Mommy, Eleanor, Oliver.  I love you!  Claire CFM."
Eleanor played with the Ponyville ponies.
It wasn't long before we had to leave for Disney on Ice.  Mimi and Papa Jimmy came over to watch Oliver until Papa got home.
Mimi and Oliver swing.

On the train to go downtown.
Claire's first show.
So cute during intermission!  Nanny and Eleanor were walking around and, realizing we weren't leaving yet and that there might be more to come, she patted me excitedly on my arm and said "Mama, do we get to watch it AGAIN?!"
Girls eating Mickey Mouse lollipop, one of the highlights for them.
